Thanks mates, I'm slowly progressing with the sleepers and the rails. Today I applied a rust wash. I'm happy with the result so far, more rust will be added later on (washes/pigments).

ah yeah, the thing which is impossible to remove once it gets onto your clothes Nicely done mate, how did you achieve the effect? Hey Woutje, I mixed black pastel powder + graphite + AK transparent gel to achieve the effect. It was applied with a fine brush and rubbed with a toothpick. Thanks for the explanation. Of course, you could have made life easier and 'harvest' some real graphite grease from the buffers at work LOL

I slapped on some more brown wash to make it look better. I think tomorrow the sleepers, grind and rails will be done. Metal pigments, rust pigments, grease...are next.

Thanks my friends. Today I was in for a bit of reverse gardening. I've added old autumn leaves (Fredericus Rex product). They were airbrushed with acrylics, glued on with Microscale and finished with different oil washes.
Next are long, dry grasses.
