Gordon Bennett- there's quite a few builds on here I've been lurking over without comment... need to address that. As always Guy- awaesome. Those tracks alone

The tracks, grindbed and sleepers aren't done yet, let's say for about 90%. I put the Platformwagen back on the bench and first job was to remove the pigments from the woodbed. I want to achieve a better effect of dust and dirt, oil and fuel spills etc. I then completed the railcar with its brake hoses. I used flexible tubing to make them look less the same. The eyes were connected to the hooks as well and I think they're a nice little detail. Hoses and eyes still need to be finished. The grey superstructure was given a rusty look but this too needs more attention. It's still a long way to go before I can call this done.

Woutje, Pete, Paul, Boots, thank you buddies. Ok back to the base today, I have old seafoam in a box and it became too fragile to make trees or weeds from so I tried something new. I crunched the seafoam and then I sprinkled it on the base brushed in with thinned woodglue. Once dry I brushed on some more. I then brushpainted the surface with dark brown, followed by a brighter, grey brown shade. The result looks exactly how I want it. The grind was redone here and there as the hawkeye's gone forever. Next : the grasses need to be finished.
