Me again. This has been one right Royal PITA. The following pictures are attempt number 5 and, whilst I am still not happy, I am going to stick here otherwise I might pass before getting there. Followed the same principles but started from Sunny skin tone and used basic flesh, dark flesh and light flesh to vary the tones. Might go for a little 5 o'clock shadow, but eyes next then onwards and sideways. ACW as ever. Tim

To be honest I would have been satified with any of those painting sessions . Still he does look mighty fine now though

Small update time. Started the rest of the bust and thought it worth while giving a glimpse of how it looks now. Starting to come together I think. Tim

Yep, I'd it's coming together alright . What's the hair colour? First wash was with German Cam Medium Brown then followed up with German Cam Black Brown. More work still to do but dark brown is the hope.

That's looking rather splendid fella, the greens look good and the flesh tones are great.

As this nears the end I decided to see if it were possible to combine the 3 figures in this set as one display. My idea is to have Sgt. O being confronted from left and right by Sharpe and Harper. Possibly on a round base rotating to give a 360 view? I have test based them and come up with this. What do you think?
