Inspired by uncle Tony's build of the new tamiya M3 stuart and with time on my hands last night whilst waiting for stuff to dry I decided to crack the box and have a go. As Tony said this is all brand new and you can really see its a very well engineered kit. Everything fits perfectly and the details are superb. The only things I have replaced are solid handles on the turret hatches, front hatches and rear engine doors. Ignore the white bits on the top hull as I inadvertently drilled out holes for the option for a US tank!
Really impressed with this kit it's a stunner and I do like the stuart series of tanks as well.

Well what can I say, this kit must be the easiest and fastest kit I've ever built. Worked on it on and off today and the buggers finished! Even the figure looks fab, something tamiya are really improving on I think. A resin tarp on the back deck and a couple of straps from tamiya tape and she's sorted. I am so impressed with this one, even the tracks actually glue together properly something AFV club tracks never do. So next up a wash & primer!
OD went on yesterday as predicted and here I used mr hobby H304 followed by flat flesh added to the mix for highlights. I then started detail painting and painting the figure! Here's where I'm at now with some chipping started and the flesh areas on the figure to finish off. Not enjoying the kit at all LMFAO
