Cheers fellas . Here's todays doings for you: Shiny Decals Track burnishing I watched a video today on Youtube from the German Panzer Museum Munster. They have shown their Merkava and explained a little about it too. The thing I found extremely interesting was this, the grit/gravel covering is not in first place anti-slip , it is in fact a clever camouflage covering . Even though the tank is painted in a camo colour, when in a sandy rocky area the flat surfaces of the armour would still stand out to the human eye, but when covered in this grit it reduces that effect to a minimum . More soon, ACW mushtys

Cheers fellas . It turns out that the Bundeswehr actually considered using the gravel camo/AS on their Leopards. But after serious thought they decided against it, the reason being the decontamination process after an NBC battle. The decon would take far too long and therefore the idea was binned. Jeff, the track have been burnished mucker . I have a bottle of fluid from Schreiber (1 liter for €25) and it is darned good indeed. Certainly better than the other guys stuff that costs €6 for 100ml . I might get the tracks on tonight, well see soon
