I made some progress on the AV-8B. I got the landing gear on and finally got all the wheels leveled up which was a little bit of a challenge. I drew on the panel lines with a .005 Micron Pen and then shaded them with Tamiya Smoke applied with my airbrush. I then gave it a gloss goat of Pledge Floor Care and after that dried I applied the decals. I used a Superscale sheet from the early 2000's which contains markings for early AV-8B's. I chose a bird from the "Bulldogs" of VMA-223 which I thought would go well with my FJ-4B Fury I had previously posted which is also in the markings of VMA-223. I have a Two Bobs sheet in the wings which contains VMA-223 markings for a later AV-8B Harrier Plus in the new Gunship Grey scheme so I see a VMA-223 lineage build on the horizon. Anyway, stay tuned..... Regards, Ian

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! I have another small update for the weekend as most of the sub-assemblies are now done. I still have to do some detail work on the AIM-9 Sidewinders, namely getting them striped. The intake covers were scratchbuilt from sheet stock and the CBU's came from the Hobbyboss F-111 kit. The exhaust parts were painted with Vallejo Natural Steel which really went on nicely. So, getting close to the end!! Regards, Ian
