Nice bit of sprayage there fella What do you use to thin the Revell Aqua colour?
Post by Paul B on Dec 2, 2018 0:01:08 GMT
Steve I used the revell aqua thinner and a few drops of Vallejo flow improver . Maybe the Vallejo stuff shouldn't be added, that was the first time I used that mix

I had an instance where the Aqua colour literally turned to plastic in my AB, it’d been fine until then. All I can think of is that I used Tamiya thinner by mistake. Not used it since then.

Hi chaps, sorry for the delay but I was busy elsewhere . Many thanks for the kind words also fellas, this is what keeps me going . Well that plus beer and whisky . I git back at this one today, the pre-sponged metal coat didn't work out as I wished , so I got back in with the sponge and the same Model Master exhaust colour to re-chip everything . I also got the gun painted up and suitably aged too, then I decided to get the tyres in place so they get the next weathering steps . But, the rubber tyres have some serious problems , one side has a feckin great bubble on every tyre, which can't be cleaned up . This means the tread pattern on one side is fitted correctly, but the other is the wrong way round. Also, if you intend to build this kit, then keep the hubs off till last. I managed to snap two hubs off applying the tyres (colourful words of many) . More soon laddies , gonna get a beer now
