Paul.......yes mate...the very one , i just misted it over the Tamiya Olive Drab but only from above , because of the route i wanna go with this i needed to lose the American O/D shade....it just made a perfect base coat for it, i`m almost certain Nuncie Carl used it for a similar effect on a Ruskie and it looked fabulous........so not entirely my idea bit i just gave it a whirl over a different base coat Robb....cheers mate Jeffers.....thankee kindly buddy....glad yas approve

Jeffers, Nuncie Carl and Steve...........thanks very much fellas Carl....thats the one , great choice of paint color ya found Steve......i`m going for the `Winter` matey , i`m going for a truck thats seen all seasons for a few years if ya know what i mean, the rear end will be a well weathered part but remain in various tones of green sponge work etc..........the cab will be done in a well worn W/W like the `Churchy`........hopefully

Ok chaps.......as i explained to Steve in the above post here`s where i`m at.........don`t be alarmed i think i know where i`m heading , the chassis has had a bit of weathering done by adding with a sponge the XF71 in raw form....i just shake the Tam pot and then dip from the lid , this was then given a couple of dark washes using AK Dark Brown..........i left it to dry overnight and gave it another coat this morning. I will go with possibly another light green sponged on yet and then just give that a once over with a wash.........i like doing it that way coz each passing with a wash alters the tones nicely on the earlier colours but leaves the upper ones more prominent. I`ve also given the under crackers a token wash ready for a blast with the AB for dustin`........and made a start on the leaf springs.....WIP at the mo
The pics ain`t great and hide some of the effect........if ya double click the pic it does show it in larger form
Not much of the chass will be seen with the cab on..........i think a dirty W/W cab will look ok with the darker worn chassis
Right.......me and the cab are orfe to have a quite word
Laterz chaps

PVA glue could give you a greasy looking substance. You'd have paint it with enamels to get the grease coloured though .
