That's funny, Boots. And to make matters worse he will be in Pea Pattern Camo. Fortunately that YouTube video in the other thread will help me with that.
Best wishes

I worked on the Jagdpanther some more and began getting it prepped for the weathering. I finished up all the paintwork on the various details on the hull such as the pipes and the block. Once that was done, I sprayed the entire model with Vallejo Gloss Varnish and let that cure up for a day. The decals were simple as all I needed were numbers and the cross. The numbers came from the Dragon Late Version Tiger II because I needed black and white and numbers for this build. The decals went on fine and just needed a little Solvaset to lay down over the Zimmerit. The photos of "314" showed the numbers were applied haphazardly with a downward slope that matched the top of the turret line so that is what I went with. Stay tuned.... Regards, Ian

I began the weathering process on the Jagdpanther and kicked things off with the first filter application. I mixed Burnt Umber, Ivory and Black Oils which were heavily diluted with Mineral Spirits and created a light beige filter. I then gave the tank a bath with this soft filter to kind of blend the camo colors together. Following the soft filter bath, I then mixed up a much darker, less diluted wash, of Burnt Umber, Ivory and Black Oil paint and used this as the pin wash or hard wash. This was applied over the Zimmerit cubes as well as on the recesses, bolts and rivets to really bring out the details. I will hit the wheels and tracks next with the hard wash. Once the undercarriage gets it's wash I will start the chipping and scratches. Best wishes, Ian
