This is still alive btw I`m just dealing with lots of small bits at the mo so nothing worth really showing , i`ve added a few more bags in random places and got them base coated ready to blend in with the existing ones.............using the cling film method is good if doing a bulk lot that you want to remove for painting......single - 3 bags was a bit trickier coz small amounts of film move more , i ended up putting them straight onto where they where gonna go ,left to dry, then painted in situ.......a little tricky but no probs with a nice 3/0 brush , drying has been the time consumer again!! Hopefully some pics soon

missed a bit of your Shermie bud, but she is looking good, really like the weathering on her so far.
Cheers

I'm liking the look of the weathered finish. Bit like my face at the end of the week, showing its age.

Thanks Wouts and Joe Not been up to much lately but i have spent the past coupla days finishing off adding the sandbags (about another 10 i`ve added here and there), they are now all painted up and some varying filters of Green/Yellow/Khaki to break up the mono-tone single colour added randomly.........another cam net was stained and then sponged with various colours to give it a worn look.........the rope to secure the load is also done.
Still got a bit more weathering to do on them
Thanks folks

I would have called that done. Then again, that's the difference between a novice like myself and a Master like yourself. Well done!

Most kind of you to say so fella.........i wish i could call it done!!, it`s one of those builds that seems to have turned into a magnet whereby things just keep appearing on it from no-where .........just when i get to the point where i think i`m finished i suddenly think of somat and before ya know it..... As for the novice/master bit.......don`t sell yaself short mate, like i mentioned before......i couldn`t do what you do in your scale

Boots, this is really shaping up into a beautiful piece. Very fitting for the 75th Anniversary of the Bulge as well.
Regards,
Ian

The turret is very nicely blended indeed fella . Doesn't look like you need much more from over here . I can't over those sandbags Boots, you have made them look so real with the different shades

Cheers very muchly mucker Gotta say that i`m impressed with the bags from Greenstuff, defo gonna get some more........they do require a bit of patience mainly drying times but the effects are so much more natural if you take ya time.........quite therapeutic actually

Boots this is one of the best, maybe the best winter camo'd Sherman I've seen. The sandbags look mighty real and the stowage...it looks battleworn and dusty : 11/10 if you ask me.
