I know what you mean about the AB in the heat, it was a tad difficult! You’ve got a great result though B)
Weathers broken here in Chester now, 18oC and raining...

Boots I used that today and it sure helped . Pete, cheers ole chap . Steve, cheers mushty . It is still 33° here and no sign of rain yet . Today I got some detailing on the running gear, the tarps, backpacks. Also the sand bags have been blended into one colour ( 2 colours was just too corny). I also added the tools and the Thompson SMG and got some bare metal on heavy wear areas. I know there is still a long way to go, but I like to get the heavy traffic wear in from the start, that way it grows with the rest of the weathering still to come . I also started on the headless zombies

Wow, looking good Paul! I just love the overall appearance of the M-10, especially all the angles on the turret.
Best wishes,

Love the Achilles! And the Firefly, for that matter too. That 17-pdr was a truly great piece of ordnance...............fantastic muzzle velocity and range. Hard part was finding a turret to stuff it in, Best wishes, Ian

Okay chaps, she's still shiny but she doesn't have a nice paint job any more, well the hull doesn't . I started with some wear and tear on the M10, being an Italian M10 means seeing lots of rocks and sand, and that means lots of chips and scratches . I started off with German Dunkelgelb from Mission Models. Firstly it was sponged on, after that a 5/0 brush was used to join the dots up. This gave me the lighter OD colour for the outer chipping, then I moved onto the red primer for the slightly chips. For this I used Tamiya Hull Red, this was also applied using a 5/0 brush, but keeping inside the Dunkelgelb. Finally I used German Panzer Grey from Vallejo, this is the bare metal area inside the Hull Red. This has taken me the best part of 3 hours , and that's only the hull. I bet there are still a couple of areas that need some attention . Here's the turret where I have started the sponging of Dunkelgelb, still a long way to go yet M>ore soon chaps
