Well, I am still banging away on the F-4G. One of the major downfalls of the kit is the horrible cockpit area so I began adding the wiring array which comes out of the back of the WSO's instrument panel. For this I used sandwich bag tie wire. I take the ties, burn the plastic coating off with a match and then have perfectly sized wire to use. I am using True Details resin seats for the cockpit and I got those painted, for the most part, although no washes or dry brushing have even added yet. Another problem is that the Revell tub is too deep and the resin seats sit way too low, even with part of the resin carrier still on the bottom. I will have to raise up the seats and the joysticks, now, to get the cockpit to look right. I still have to scratch build the front cockpit sidewalls although I have the templates cut. I got the wheel bays painted and added a wash of Pledge Floor wax diluted with Acryl Black. I started drawing the panel lines as well and I am using a .01 Micron Ink Pen for those. I still have a couple of places to touch up on the fuselage camo so a couple of primer spots are still showing. I got the flaps cleaned up, where I cut them so I could pose them dropped but I still have to add the red to the wing edges, however. Stay tuned.......
