Pete, Joe, Ian, your words are very well appreciated fellows . Ian, for the base chip I used a 50/50 mix of Vallejo RAL9001 Weiss (71.270 White) and UK Light stone No.61 (71.143). The white isn't really white, it's more like Ivory or Panzer interior off white. Then came the scuff marks down to the primer, which was good ole Tamiya XF9 Hull Red. After that I used Vallejo RAL 7021 Dunkelgrau (71.056 Panzer dark grey), which has give the heavy chipping down to the metal. I also did the chipping using a hairy stick. I've tried sponging the first chips before, but that just didn't look right for me. The brushes I used (yes 2 of them) are from the Da Vinci Junior synthetics range, and are both No.1s . I kept alternating them between each layer, I also used Vallejo brush restorer/cleaner and laid the cleaned one on the radiator to dry off before I changed back. This isn't by any means my idea, I got from the web. Here's the link to video I watched which changed my way of chipping. mho.freeforums.net/thread/1846/chipping-easy

Tim, how kind of you to relate my age to yours , the only thing is you're so old that you have moss growing out of your pockets Oh thats what it is........ I was wondering. Ear & nose hair is bad enough but moss! Nice chipping, however if I may, the last picture in your chipping update, your tow point could do with a little wear at the top end.

Started getting some good dirt going down . I'm using Mig Russian Earth Pigment with VMS ENML 2.0 pigment fixer . This stuff is great to use, you mix the dirt up with fixer, slap it on, use a hairdryer to dry it and then use the fixer wash the stuff around and remove the dirt you don't need . Inside of the skirts Outer running gear Lower hull More tomorrow chaps

Nice dirtwork on that PzIV Mr. B, and kudos for working on the inside of the wheels. That's something I'd never come up with.
Cheers

Appreciated your words be chaps . Wouts, I must admit I have never painted the inner sides on the running gear before either . I always just slapped a load dirt in there and hoped nobody would notice . Okay chaps, I added the running gear and the skirts (some of) today, the skirts are removable so I can still get at the toolage. Next I'll get some worn metal on the tools, add the stowage as per picture I found of this vehicle, then start to lightly weather sthe top of the hull, turret and turret skirts . More soon chaps
