Hetzer was the name attributed to the E10. Skoda mixed the names up and used the Hetzer name for the paperwork for its "hetzer" for a brief period. By then, the name had stuck and had been adopted by the troops. Hetzer was never the official name for the "hetzer" line of vehicles. Post-war historians sort of ran with the name as the official name. Kind of a neat little background story. I tend to refer to them as Hetzers as well...but I won't call a M113 a Gavin.

Alex thanks for that , it's really good to know I ain't the only dork around . Thanks also for the explanation of the 38t , saves me doing it . Guy, Boots and Jeff we'll see how I manage this little pigs ear . Bill cheers mucker Pete, thanks also sir . And yes I did the same thing too and that well into the 90's Marco, you be forgiven and thanks also . I have been back at it today and I must say for a € 40 kit this is shyte . The PE is crap and I leaving it off, the main PE parts will be replaced with scratched items. I have also found an engine in my spares box which will get some scratched parts too the part. The destructions are also very vivid in the attachment of everything , so it's gonna a big guessing game. Here's where I have got to till now The Dragon 38t donk which I shall shoehorn into this somehow . I have a feeling that is not going to be a nice and shiny Bergepanzer , I am now thinking of a rusty wreck in a farmyard somewhere . ACW muckers

Does it really make any difference how it opens, as long as it does?

Guy, Des I shall join you both as I am always thirsty too . Well I have knocked up a basic engine bay for the Bergepanzer . I shall add a couple of other bits, but won't over do it as most will not be seen later . Even with open hatches it's pretty confined in there . More tomoz muckers , ACW.
