Nice modifications, they’ll make the best of that impressive engine. It’ll look great under paint too!

Si, sharp looking T-34 and also like your work on getting the Pz IV to the finish line.

Good evening folks, Well it came true and some bench time occurred here and there this week. Engine/tranny got a black base coat then a coat of AK extreme metal aluminium.
Then after a bit of painting and assembling it’s all crammed in there nicely, thankfully! Although I need to trim off the exhaust ends. Added the high pressure fuel lines made from copper wire. Paintwork is still fresh so I’ll let it set up then I’ll weather and matt coat before closing up.
With the lid on you can still view a reasonable amount, which is what I wanted....
Got over the hump of this part now so should be pretty steady work now .....I hope

Love the metal finish on the engine parts. All downhill from now on?

Thanks very much for the kind comments chaps The engine was a nice distraction from the main build and has now been weathered using oils and fixed permanently in place. Over the week I managed to glue the track and wheels as one for easier painting and decorating Added the rest of the grab rails and straps for the ice cleats. The PE transmission cover looked quite complicated but the kit option looks absolutely fine so I’ll save that for another T34 build. I did use the PE mesh rather than the kit nylon stuff.
Not much left to do so Im thinking this is nearing end of assembly and paint is in sight! Thanks again for looking in gents
