Very impressive indeed. The effects look amazing, couldn't get on with the pencils myself but you've certainly mastered the method!

Evening / Morning All Been a while since I've been able to get back into the workroom, but I managed it today against some fierce competition from the new Microsoft Flight Simulator. As SWMBO was out on Friday I night I ended up in flight school and before I new it was Saturday...lol So back to modelling. I got started on the tracks, tank body and wheels with mud, glorius mud. I started working with some acrylic based mud products and started to build them up. I had an idea of what I wanted to do so it was just a case of feeling my way through it. The first pics are the first couple of layers, dry mud and wet mud. Then I added some AK wet mud for dioramas, which has a lot more texture. This was used to create a nice thick build up of wet mud. The tracks were also done. They had already been given the base coat of dark iron. I started out with some pigments, fixed with ballast freeze. I felt that it hadn't really given me the look i wanted, so it was out with the arcrylic mud products. I also worked on the wheels and then I couldn't resist doing a quick wrap around with the track to see what it looked like. Looking forward to doing a bit more on everything tomorrow...fingers crossed. Have a good day MHO'ers. Cheers Mark

Hi All There was a bit more progress on the muddying up last weekend, that I didn't get to photograph. Then I was away with work for most of the week, so no modelling Most of Saturday has been spent doing chores etc, but I did manage to get a couple of hours under my belt. The main part of the work was to further the mud effects. I also managed to progress the tracks and used a graphite stick to create the wear on the inside and weathered the teeth to show the polishing by the road wheels. The wheels were also given a coat of Vallejo metallic steel to show the polishing from the tracks. That's enough of the words, time for some pics. Hopefully I can get a few more hours on it again tomorrow and keep the flow going. Cheers Mark

Hi All Just a quick update before I head to bed. Today I had enough time to get the wheels fully assembled and on, followed by the tracks. It took a bit of manipulation, but I got there in the end. There's still some adjustments to be made but on the whole I'm happy with the way they've turned out. Next up I have to weather the left hand side wheels and then finish of the tracks on both sides with a bit more mud etc. That's enough words, here's the pics. Until next time..... Cheers Mark
