This holiday weekend I have switched off totally from work and had some good quality time with fam and a few of my shelf-Queens. This one I've filnaly got around to starting on the base : just some insulation foam shaped and then covered with a mix of cat litter and Woodland Scenics fine grit then all hit with a good blast of Halfords Camo series Khaki. Not too bad me thinks. Next job will be the running gear and tracks (Trumpy single links rather than kit versions. The plan is also for the ditch to contain brackish water, ( which will hide the lack of running gear on the submerged side)
Having problems uploading update pics right now but will try again later.

Nice to see this be back on the bench and I did like this comment from the start of the thread. “Another one started a while back and hit by loss of mojo...”

Need to add some crud under the fenders and also add the residual soot/smoke stuff over the missing wheel and fender. The track is currently drying off its primer coat.

Right then.. I've taken the plunge and added the first pour of water effects swamp gel. No going back from here. It's got a dust cover on and now set aside until Sunday at the earliest. I am planning to add a layer of clear(ish) water gel on top once it cures. Off the something else shiny now...

Well the swamp gel and water stuff didn't quite come off as I'd hoped. Operator error I thi k. But heyhi, first time trying and the Kit is a 12 quid special off ebay, so no major heartache. Still playing with it hence the fresh dark patches while the fixer dries out. More work to be done with the stonework and bramble/scrub.
