Cheers Marco, Paul & , Pete I was happy with the way it turned out. I primed the wheels today. Tomorrow I'll can paint the tyre grey, then when that's dry, I'll spray a wash on them to see how they look.

Cheers Ian & Boots. much appreciated gentleman. I've sprayed the wheels with a black wash. Once I've cleaned the excess off, I can glue them in place ready for the tracks. I painted the fuel tanks and stowage boxes, along with the upper hull. I will give all these parts a black wash before gluing them in place.

Thank you Paul mucker.I've glued the pre washed main wheels in place after cleaning off the excess wash. You will notice that the middle wheel has a tooling pin sticking up. This lines up with a tooling hole on the first piece of track thats fitted so the rest of the track sections will line up. There is also a location pin on the back of the wheel to make sure the tooling pin is pointing the right way. As if that's not enough, Tamiya have made it idiot proof by making the axle a smaller diameter so only the wheel with the pin will fit on it. When the glue has dried overnight, I can make a start on the tracks. These are made up from 17 parts for each side.

Good ole Tamiya . I had read about this little aid, and I reckon it's a bloody good idea. That running gear looks stunning Joe

Many thanks Paul, Ian, Boots, Tommy, Marco & Pete.
Paul, that little aid really helps. I glued the first section on, and left it overnight to dry. I've completed one side of the tracks yesterday. I hope to get the other side done today and post a photo later on. I also sprayed the top hull, fuel tanks and stowage lockers. I'm in the process of cleaning them up.

Thank you Guy.I'm going to have a go at building this like I do with aircraft, by completing as many sub-assemblies as possible before added them to the main assembly. The tracks are all in place now waiting for a little bit of weathering. I've sprayed the wash on the top of the hull. This will be cleaned up before I attach the stowage lockers and fuel tanks to it. Those will also be ready to glue in place after they've been finished. I can make a start on the turret then which has had a coat of primer.
