I agree. In that scale I have only used wash layers for eyes and liked that result.

The crew is shaping up nicely Paul. One trick to give life to garments that don’t have a lot of fading or dirt is to spray flat clear from below and semi-matt from above. This give depth and texture..apparently as I’ve only read about it

Thanks indeed chaps, I'll see what I can do later today maybe. Sounds like shadows is going to be the way to go. Ian R. I do believe that it is QOH Queens Own Hussars, that is what it looks like to my eye

Many thanks indeed kind chaps . Well, after looking at the bodies again, I decided to repaint them , well I wouldn't be old self if I didn't paint something twice would I? . Anyway they had a bath in ISO and got primed yesterday, just now I have gone back with the Vallejo paint. This time I have lightened the base coat a tad, totally wrong in real life but hey, they needed something doing to make them more inetersting . More later chaps

Looking very good Paul. I didn't realise how small it was! I'm sure the figures will look even better when you've finished them.

Very nice work all round mate. I do find that starting with a slightly lighter tone than needed works best for me when it comes to uniforms and also when I'm painting armour.

Boots, cheers ole chap . And yes your uniform camo is rather swish Guy, most appreciated Sir . This means I must be something right Joe, thank you kindly mucker, not sure how far I will go with the heads yet. But I think the faces are are as good as done Pete, most kind my friend . For me this figure thing is trial run on here, not too sure yet but I think the opposite approach is more for me .
