Guy, Pete, Steve, Paul Si-----thanks for the kind words gents. Minor update here as I have started tacking on subassemblies to the model. I also added some streaks and fluid leaks to the underside of the aircraft. Just a few more things to add and then I will add some Vallejo Gloss Varnish to seal the decals and then I will add some Matte Varnish to the walkways, anti-glare panel and wheel bays.

Thanks, guys! I sealed the decals this morning with Vallejo Gloss. Next I will add Vallejo Matte to the anti-glare panel, bays, and walkways. Then I will throw on some canopy glass and wrap her up.

The TA-4J is now complete. I got the final subassemblies installed and sealed the decals with Vallejo Gloss Varnish. I then went over the anti-glare panel, walk-ways, wheel bays and slat wells with some Vallejo Matte Varnish to dull those areas down a tad. I also added some wear to the walkways with a silver pencil to scuff them up. I found out this particular TA-4J had the pitot tube in the tail so I drilled a hole and added a metal tube there. I then finished her off by adding the beacons and nav lights and used Tamiya Clear Red and Clear Blue on them. I also added some scuffs and scratches to the drop tanks, using Vallejo Dark Rubber applied with a sponge and very thin brush. All in all, this was a fun build and I enjoyed this group build. I posted a few pics here and the rest are in the gallery.
