In total there are 28 fiddly bits of 3D printed straps etc which try the patience of a saint given that no instruction or guidance is given. Having trawled around for ages, I managed to find this as a reference (for reference only)

I didn't know that Mirror Models started to produce details for planes! You're doing a great work so far!

Very nicely detailed and built fella. Now you’ll need a Houchin to park next to it, the screens are powered up

Very nicely detailed and built fella. Now you’ll need a Houchin to park next to it, the screens are powered up And your p****d off with Airfix..............? Kits World sell 2 instrument panel sets. This one and a so called live set with pretty pictures \ graphics on the screens. Given that this is an aftermarket upgrade you have to hope they would get things right 'cause we aint all experts. Would also apply to the belts etc. Colours are at best iffy and no guidance provided for application? So to sum up poorly researched kits, poor moulding issues, poor aftermarket upgrades and an empty wallet! Oh, and in your case, poor customer services.

I’ve had a look at Kits World website and I see what you mean. Their active set has maps and radar working, your one looks darker. I think it might just be a trick of the light in your pic as I could see a green glow on my iPad. As for the belts, the aircraft I saw had very grimy looking edges to the belts, give them a wash of something to pull it all together and they’ll be fine. No excuse for no instructions though!

Time to call the office finished and move on to the rest of the build. Have given the whole tub a wash with black gouache heavily thinned also the seats, belts and IP panels. Toned down the main screens, particularly the green rear screens and this is how things stand now. Onwards and sideways as ever and more soon. Tim

Thanks for the comments one and all. Moving on, front undercarriage and housing are next up. Not that easy to photograph but hopefully these give an idea of what has been done.
Onwards and sideways and more soon. Tim
