This is a very nice, little scene. But since I made it, I have come across oils and I have now got some Mig Ammo laser cut plants which I want to try out. So I shall give it a go and then show a before and after shot. Should be an interesting little side show.

Thanks Robbo. Took off all the vegetation and daubed on earth coloured oils. Will go over with some lighter colours next, but really like how you can blend in the tones. As for the laser cut plants, Mig ammo recommend priming them before painting them. Got myself some clear primer, but I might try coloring first using my daughter’s coloured pencils.

Laser cut plants are better suited to AB work for colour as they don`t get too wet........pencils might work tho

This looks great, Tommy, and nice refurb. It's always fun to revisit a project with new techniques.

Thanks Boots, bwilt and Ian. More oils on the base and also used the black primer to paint the wood. Mig ammo’s laser cut Marsh Marigold. Used my daughter’s coloured pencils to add extra colour. Then cut them out and stuck together with VMS crystal clear PVA glue (reassuringly expensive) Painstaking work but definitely effective. First thing my daughter has liked. Said she will colour some in for me. RESULT!!!!!!

FERN Sprayed with clear primer yesterday then coloured in with normal coloured pencils today. Wanted to creat an autumn look so used lots of brown. Was a real pain to cut out but a bit of patience really paid off. There are some stamens in the set but did not use this time because out of season. Set in place with VMS crystal clear PVA which will go crystal clear. Da, daaaaaaa

That may be the problem.
