Good work on the tracks.
I read about it on another thread. I always thought I’d cocked up somewhere, but it’s good to know the reason.

Joe the shrinkage can hit all plastic tracks, depends on the glue you use and it's drying time before taking the breakdowns apart. I've had it happen too often in the past, glues like Tamiya extra thin etc always caused it. The glue is too aggressive, it melts the plastic too much which pulls the parts together and causes the shrink. If I use plastic links, or link and length I always go for Revell Contacta Professional. This glue just sets in place and doesn't pull the parts together. I’ve always used used Humbrol Liquid Poly but it may help the single links are all assembled ‘stuck down’ on some masking tape. So, assembly and apply a light coat of glue on either side of the guide horns.

I made a start with the primer. I used grey at first, but after a trip to my LHS, I noticed a brown oxide primer from the same brand. I've used this on the tracks and wheels. I put stuck them back on the hull for safe keeping held together with a elastic band.
