Paul, Boots, Pete, Marco, Ian, Tommy and, Jeff. Cheers chaps. Tommy, Marco is right, it's a good drop of paint. What I like about it is, it doesn't require thinning. Use it straight from the pot.

Thank you Marco and, Ian. I've neglected this build of late, so thought I'd better put a bit of effort into it seeing as this was a Group Build from last year! I've assembled the gun. Because it has moving parts, the barrel can be lowered and elevated after assembly.

Those link and length tracks are grand solution from Tamiya and look really good. You have done a lovely job till here Joe, there is some nice detail you can show off on that gun, when the weathering starts, even if you only some chipping to the used parts

Looks very good! And must remember those rubber bands on the tracks, I just know that will come in handy some time!

Paul, your right. I've got to make more of an effort when it comes to weathering armour. I sent for some dry brush paint today which included a dry brush chipping colour.

Joe that could be a good starting point with the dry brush colour. I use metallic from Humbrol for metal surfaces, 27003 and 27001. In fact when I think about it, most of the dry brushing I do, is done with Humbrol enamels. Here's a tip you, if you add an acrylic gloss before hand and you don't like the dry brush effect, you can easily remove the enamel paint with enamel thinner and it won't destroy the acrylics .

Thank you Paul. That's a good tip. It was Ammo Dio Dry Brush Paint I sent for.

Speaking of weathering, you can’t go wrong with Tamiya weathering master. I use it all the time. It’s a model let’s version of make up for vehicles.

Many thanks Guy and Tommy. Tommy, I've not done a lot of dry brushing. I used the Tamiya weather master sets. I do like them, but I think using a dry brush paint will bring out more detail I've assembled as much as I can ready for a coat of primer. The front armour plate is just clicked in place so I can take it off to remove the gun for painting.
