Rye Field Models Challenger 2 finished 13/3/22

Many thanks chaps as ever you are ace! Second light guard done and then onto the rear deck. Lots of parts to add here including all the hinges for the deck covers and handles too. I did a little bit of fettling here as well with the solid deck handles replaced by strip plastic. The stowage bins had a couple of accurate armour padlocks added and a couple of breather pipes fitted in the little cut outs on each one. a few bolts on the fuel caps and the rear is done.

Amazing is what it is.

Today's progress now with the tow ropes fitted, here I used 0.90mm copper wire which is very nice to use & work starting on the front. Some conduit from lead wire and associated clips and a new horn from punched plastic card. I'm also experimenting with new front mud flaps as the  kit items are very thick and don't sit correctly on the fenders. So I've doubled over some tamiya type tape to use. Hopefully this should result in a very realistic bit of rubber!
