Thanks lads, did a little bit of tweaking on the skirts today. As I plan on mounting the final rear plate in the up position I was not that happy with just gluing onto the hull sides as I know that on the real thing there is a thin strip of metal that runs the length of the hull above the skirts. So as the skirts are a bit too thick in that area I again sanded down slightly then added a thin strip of plastic card on the rear section. Etch would have been better but I don't have any in the spares long enough. Drilling out the bolt heads also helps to locate the plate. However the middle mount does not line up with the middle bolt so I shaved this mount off the hull, drilled the correct hole then glued the mount back on. The plastic strip will be sanded down once cured. Much happier with the look now.
