Thanks, guys! Bert, great idea with the N scale figures as that had not occurred to me. I will check that out.

I did some more work on the Caspian Sea Monster and she is almost ready for primer. I removed the side details on the missile tubes so I could sand that side seam evenly. I will replace the details with some sheet stock bits. I debated about the paint scheme and I settled on the "Egg Plant" scheme which is now prevalent on Russian SU-34 Fullbacks. It will be Dark Grey on top and bright blue on the under surfaces. All the radomes for the search radars will be a pale light grey. I will use the Hataka SU-34 Dark Grey color for topside and Vallejo 70.844 Bright Blue for the undersides.

Excuse my ignorance but is this a plane or water craft thingy?

Robbo, a valid question, sir, and I had to look it up myself. So the International Maritime Organization classifies them as ships because they just float on the air pocket from ground effect. I didn't think the ship label really applied but after thinking about it, it does make sense because it can't fly or gain altitude like a plane. It's basically a high speed missile corvette.

So a something like a hover-craft-on-steroids kind of a thing?

You are correct, Bert. It just rides on that ground effect bubble.

Small update on the Caspian Sea Monster as I replaced the details on the missile tubes which I removed to sand that lateral seam evenly. She is now ready for primer.
