Takom 1/144th Caspian Sea Monster

Coming along very nicely Ian, the ink pen idea is just right for this scale fella

I got the weathering done on the lower hull, er......fuselage.   I found some ship hull photos on the web with some nice fouling on the hull so I tried to replicate that. I sprayed a line of fading right at the waterline using some Vallejo Iraqi Sand which was diluted with distilled water. Then I added some algae stains using green oils, streaked downwards. Following that I added some deposits on the hull with some thick Vallejo Sky Grey applied with a sponge. Next will be to do this same process on the catamaran-winglet thingies.   And as you can see, there is now a mounting hole in the hull, courtesy of a Dewalt Drill. Tentative plan right now is to mount it on a post over a map of the Sakhalin Island area in Russia.

Thanks, guys! I made some headway on the Sea Monster. I got all the weathering applied and lots of streaks and leaks were added using various oil paint shades. I then went over the panel lines with Tamiya Smoke and put all the sub-assemblies together. She's going to be displayed over a map of the Caspian so I took an old trophy plaque and drilled out a hole for the post, added the map and reinstalled the plexiglass cover. Next will be some gloss coat and decals.
