Thanks, Steve! Well, the camo is on and this is the first time I have done a USN bird in tri-color. I didn't do a very good job on the radial when I first built this many moons ago so I popped the engine out and refinished that as well. Being a Pacific warbird, I did some fading and mottling on the upper surfaces to show some wear. Panel lines are next.

Thanks, Marco! I worked on the panel lines on the Avenger and highlighted them with a drafting pencil. I then reinstalled the landing gear. The gear had cracked since the original build so I removed the struts altogether and then drilled small holes and inserted metal pins. The gear and support struts were then reinstalled with no issues. Getting close to gloss varnish and decals although I have to touch up a few spots on the fuselage.

You used a drafting pencil, first, what is it, a normal lead pencil? and you just run it round the panel lines?

Tommy, Boots, Robbo--thanks, gents. Robbo, yes, I just ran a 0.5mm lead pencil through the recessed panel lines. I thought a black Micron Ink Pen might have been too heavy over the white.
