I decided to retrieve this one from storage and do a refinish job on it. This is a 1/48th scale Accurate Miniatures Avenger that I had actually built for Accurate Miniatures many years ago when our model chapter was doing all the builds for their ads, brochures and box art. This one was for the Flight 19 boxing and we were tasked with building all five from that mission. After the company went under, I got the model back but it was slightly damaged and kind of in sad shape so I stored it. (the running joke at the time was the Flight 19 re-box should just be an empty box). I recently obtained some 1/48th Avenger decals so I am going to refinish this bird in the markings of VC-76 off the "jeep carrier", USS Petrof Bay CVE-80, from WW2. That air wing had neat markings as they all feature a large shamrock on the tail and I also have an FM-2 Wildcat in my built collection off the Petrof Bay and that one has the shamrock as well. Time to strip some decals.

. I think I have everything cleaned up and she is ready for some tri-color USN camo. I did notice I did not have the rear windows quite flush so I popped those out and will work on those so the fit a little better in the fuselage.
