Olive Drab base coat is on and a start on picking out some details is underway. Starting to look good!

Thank you chaps. There are other gubbins that I could try to add but they wouldn't be seen...so I'm going to call this part of the build done.๐ Recoil guard and ammo stowage needs to be added and painted and then its closing up time. Externally, work will be needed to add weld detail etc, but luckily most of that will be along the kit seam line๐

Trying out my new crud mix- contents of 1 unused teabag and some pigments. Blended together and then applied to the undercrackers and fixed with AK sand and gravel fixer. Applied pre-primer, just cause I haven't before tbh... Rhe contents of the stanard tea bag are not as organic looking as you might think, quite gravely in fact

Same issue with ammo racks and no ammo, or even canvas covers (greenstuff to come!). Also,Italeri provide the racks as a 6+6, but the turret only carried 11 ready rounds. The images I have only show the loaders side cover open, with a 5 round rack...hence the greenstuff. That's good to know. I guess it makes sense as well...only the loader's side being open. I was thinking about borrowing a few rounds from the hull stowage racks. I might get sneaky and slam some 88mm shells in there instead. I wasn't sure if the shells fit all the way in or poked out a bit.

Hi Alex, logic would say to me they'd be something for the loader to grab hold of. Unfortunately the Tankograd TM doesn't show that area in any detail so I cant be sure. What you suggests sounds credible, particularly for an "in action" situation.

Looking good there Paul. Nice details. That interior will look great after some weathering!
