Steve, Ian, cheers muckers . I just added the colour for the undersides . Not really knowing what the historically correct colour is, I mixed one up myself . The Instructions call for Mitsubishi green which something like Tamiya Sky, but looking at the pictures online of this aircraft it appeared to be too dark. So I took Mr Hobby Aqueous IJA Grey and added white to this until I had a colour which I reckon could be close . EDIT: the pictures show the colour grey, but in reality it has a greenish tint. Tomorrow will get some masking and then possibly the green will be added

The colours can look very bizarre sometimes, Paul. I'm sure you're bang on.

This evening I gave the bird its top colour . I used Tamiya XF-11 J.N. Green for a first coat and then I added some XF-57 Buff to the green so that I could add some slight fading. Tomorrow will be getting the markings in place .

Paul, I've always hated the look of this aircraft; toy me it seemed as if it had been twisted inside out and then cut off on the end. Ungainly looking thing on landing gear too. That being said, the work you are putting into this is masterfully stellar! I do love watching you work!
As for the pics of the rusted, busted Zero; if you look close inside the broken off wing root on the closeup pic; you can see a bit of Aotake blue still on the parts. Apparently it does work great for anti-corrosion provided the integrity of the seal isn't compromised.
