Thank you, gents! The Aircraft Grey FS16473 went on this morning so I will give that some time to cure since it is a Gloss Enamel color.

Great work Ian! The kit doesn't looks a great one. But you are fixing all the problems!

I got some paint on the Rivet Joint. I used my last bottle of enamel Model Master Aircraft Gray FS 16473 for the lower half and then Tamiya Flat White for the top section. Tamiya Black was used to paint the radome. I have to touch up a few sections of the Aircraft Gray, especially around the nose but we are moving along here.

Thanks, guys! So my plan is to display this RAF Rivet Joint over the Black Sea since this is where the one I am depicting had the close call with the Orcistani missile launch from the SU-27, recently. For the base I am using an old contest trophy plaque from 2005 and I am going to use a map of the Black Sea that I got out of an atlas. I drilled out a 1/2 inch hole in the base and the plexiglass with a router bit on my drill. I then scratch built a post to mount the RC-135 on. I used my trusty Harbor Freight cutoff saw and sliced a section of 1/2 inch tubing that I capped with a 1/48th scale aircraft wheel from the spares box. I then made a U-Section out of sheet stock beam sections which were also sliced with my cutoff saw. I secured the sections with MEK solvent to ensure a good bond. I will put two metal rods in the U-section and mount the RC-135 wing section on those. I think I will paint the post itself blue and yellow in Ukie colors.
