Hi chaps, with the VT 1-2 and Dragonfly both in the cellar drying off, I have an empty bench . So I looked at the stash and saw this dusty ole gal on the top shelf and, decided it was time for something simple . I'll be adding a load of goodies along the way, but the basic build will more or less out of the box . Progress pictures coming soon

Excellent choice! With that open top you have a great canvas for detail, figures and stowage.

Guy, Ian, Steve, welcome aboard chaps . Well where do I start, simple with the painful bit . I got stuck into removing the running gear from its carrier plate, there are about 100 connection points which have to be carefully cut off and in doing so, the first blood was drawn . Well at least with offering, the modelling Gods should be gracious with this build . And so we continue with the the kit itself . I have sanded out the rather annoyingly placed ejection pin marks and glued the basic hull parts together. I also chopped off the wrongly shaped handles on the engine cover, added a new gear shift and also some handles to the stowage boxes More soon peoples

This build is almost done, you're going like hell Paul. I like the extra detailing, and OK it may have been bloody, the wheelage and tracks look super fine.

If your are not bleeding, it's not modeling. Nice details you have added, there.

Muchly appreciated your response be chaps . Today I scavenged some tools from the spares box, AFV Club and Academy. I would have gotten more done but, I haven't got enough reference . I have loads of pictures of Bren Carriers in my reference, but I haven't got one decent picture of the front Bren Gun mount. I need to check if Tamiya have this right, to me the Tammy mount looks odd, way to chunky and possibly wrong with the connecting points to the gun. If anyone has any pictures of this area, with the gun mounted, I would appreciate it if you would share them with me .

I took some photos of a Universal this year, and the gun mount. However, no use to you, the mount was for the Boys AT gun. Might have to copy and paste the link. Tim
No, looks like it works so hope that helps.
