Cheers Ian . Right, I think I have finished fiddling around in the front of the carrier . Till now I've added some missing bits like pedals, linkage, handles, new gear shift and a new steering column . The kit Bren is a tad chunky, but the mount is okay. All I added here was the front and rear sights .

Coming along very nicely, Paul.
I remember seeing a Lyndibeige YouTube all about the universal carrier. Very interesting, it was too.

One of my favorite kits just to build. I've built a few of them over the years. The last two I've built...actually about 83.7% done...the tracks were bad. I think that the tracks' plastic isn't as tough as the ones in earlier releases.
Anyway...I like the way the new running gear looks and the nice detail additions. The kit's a bit long in the tooth but you've given her a nice boost.

Tommy, Alex cheers chaps . Alex, good to see you Sire. Yes, the kits downfall is its running gear. I also have built a few of these over the years, and at least one more will be on the register . After all I still have a set Riich Model running to use up, there's about twice the parts of the Tamiya Carrier in that upgrade set

The running tracks really do make a really big difference to the kit and the overall price! I was interested in the Riich one when it came out, then I had a look in the box. It just looks like a kit that crosses that line of challenging but enjoyable into frustration.

Jase, Joe, cheers muchly fellas. Jase the Riich upgrade is very intricate indeed and certainly crosses the line into frustration . The faint hearted should look away... now . 2 of these: 1x of these and a shed load of mini springs in two sizes Joe, this is still a good kit . But, a little TLC certainly helps this old girl along.
