Joe, it's the flow improver I'll order. Top tip! Steve, it covers very solid I think, masking however will be something I have to do with care. Tommy, that's an incentive and efficient solution then chap! John, the Aluminium was not thinned.😂 Yes, mask with care as that Vallejo Aluminum is very fragile. Go with a tape with the lowest tack possible or Post-It notes, if you can.

I did a test with pretty strong tack onto the alu coat and it sits firmly, bizar! Maybe it's the fact that I did 't apply gloss black primer but a rather satiny one which has a tad more of a subtle grain texture? Btw we agree totally on the flawless alu spraying quality, I love this paint! Next is the blue nose experiment, I want to use Revell aqua blue paints for the mixture. The Revells I can hopefully and successfully apply.

Wow! That is gorgeous. The blue will look great with that.

Also interesting how the blue came about on the birds from the 352nd. Apparently the blue was called RAF Deep Sky Blue and was used to paint the latrine shacks at Bodney so the base crews "reallocated" the paint for the Mustangs.

Wow! That is gorgeous. The blue will look great with that. I think I managed to make a moreless accurate shade of blue, Revell Aqua came to the rescue. I airbrushed the mixture onto the prop cone to check how it looks next to the aluminium colour. ONLY FOR FERKING COOL REFERENCE PURPOSES!

Blue Monday. I used yellow masking tape which I put on my shirt for about 15 times 😄, to collect micro fibres. I then masked with the no longer too sticky tape and the blue was sprayed on in three thin coats. It worked out ok, the alu wasn't damaged at all, victory!

Smashing work, the contrast between the metal and blue is awesome! Thanks Pete chap, the moment I saw the boxart I knew it had to be that one, as the shiny cold aluminium contrasts nicely with the blue.

I've got Vallejo Aluminium but it's never come out that good, you say that's a satin primer has done that

I've got Vallejo Aluminium but it's never come out that good, you say that's a satin primer has done that It's Vallejo 70.602 black surface primer, it was polished with a soft tissue to make the surface smoother. I'm masking the panels and all goes well, no peeling off paint. I still have a lot more masking to do...
