I need to recover from that darned Academy Corsair . So the only way I know of doing so, is to crack open a Tamiya kit . Here goes the Jagdpanzer IV L70 Lang, from 2014 .

Ian, Guy, cheers chaps and good to see you here . Ian, this the late version with L70 Panther gun. It also means I don't need Zimmerit, as these were built from August 1944 to early 1945 . The Zimmerit application ceased in September '44 .

Okay then, after about 3 hours build time I have this . The detail up set which has the complete gun mechanism, is absolute dream . It's all workable, and really looks the bees knees, just a shame you can't see much of it when fitted . I'll paint it all up, and paint the inner of the vehicle black. That way it should be more visible with Elfenbein colour in place .

Impossible to beat a Tamiya kit, this too is clearly a mojo booster!

Thank you kindly fellas . Your praise keeps me running and also means my building isn't so bad after all . The inside of the Jagdpanzer and the running gear has been primed today. I used as I usually do for armoured vehicles, Vallejo Hobby Paint rattle can German Grey .

I don't like rattle cans, but the result is fantastic!

Cheers Marco . The easy thing about rattle cans is, it's fast and no cleaning of the airbrush . Also it's solvent based paint, which is bloody tough and gives an excellent base for the following colours

Well you're a great rattle can sprayer Paul. I always mess up with them even when I prepared the can.

Well you're a great rattle can sprayer Paul. I always mess up with them even when I prepared the can. The only problem I had was of my own making. After applying a heavy layer of pigments, for mud, I decided that I needed them ‘extra fixed’ so I got out the Humbrol matt varnish. To my horror it produced this horrible white effect like snow. That was a lesson learned.
