I need to recover from that darned Academy Corsair ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) . So the only way I know of doing so, is to crack open a Tamiya kit ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) . Here goes the Jagdpanzer IV L70 Lang, from 2014 ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . ![](https://i.ibb.co/CWWG61L/DSCN0962.jpg) ![](https://i.ibb.co/Y49N0kG/DSCN0963.jpg) ![](https://i.ibb.co/Htj1G98/DSCN0964.jpg)

Ian, Guy, cheers chaps and good to see you here ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . Ian, this the late version with L70 Panther gun. It also means I don't need Zimmerit, as these were built from August 1944 to early 1945 ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . The Zimmerit application ceased in September '44 ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) .

Okay then, after about 3 hours build time I have this ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) . ![](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52682757530_a64231fb45_c.jpg) ![](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52682827118_bd39ea2cb6_c.jpg) ![](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52682328396_2dd58d382a_c.jpg) The detail up set which has the complete gun mechanism, is absolute dream ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) . It's all workable, and really looks the bees knees, just a shame you can't see much of it when fitted ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) . I'll paint it all up, and paint the inner of the vehicle black. That way it should be more visible with Elfenbein colour in place ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . ![](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52682612009_d60417bd0c_c.jpg) ![](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52682612139_5013e43fc5_c.jpg)

Thank you kindly fellas ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . Your praise keeps me running and also means my building isn't so bad after all ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) . The inside of the Jagdpanzer and the running gear has been primed today. I used as I usually do for armoured vehicles, Vallejo Hobby Paint rattle can German Grey ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . ![](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52695016534_c32d0f966a_c.jpg)

Cheers Marco ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . The easy thing about rattle cans is, it's fast and no cleaning of the airbrush ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) . Also it's solvent based paint, which is bloody tough and gives an excellent base for the following colours ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Well you're a great rattle can sprayer Paul. I always mess up with them even when I prepared the can.

Well you're a great rattle can sprayer Paul. I always mess up with them even when I prepared the can. The only problem I had was of my own making. After applying a heavy layer of pigments, for mud, I decided that I needed them ‘extra fixed’ so I got out the Humbrol matt varnish. To my horror it produced this horrible white effect like snow. That was a lesson learned.
