Taking full advantage of the recon nature of these vehicles I'm going for this cracker from trumpeter. I have some Eduard etch in the box as well so am looking forward to starting soon.

How is the fit of Trumpy kits in general guys? I have built several of their Stryker and T-64 kits and they were nice and fit well. Their aircraft kits have been OK and just tend to be eccentric sometimes. The main thing to watch out for is the mold release agent they use on their plastic. Unless washed or sanded with steel wool, even enamel primer won't stick to it so if you mask you can pull off three layers of finish unless you really prep the plastic.

Guy, these early Trumpeter kits can be a mixed bag but the later and most recent offerings are on the whole very good indeed. This kit was originally a pit road offering before trumpy released it. One thing to note is the old school metal axles! However they work perfectly and although you cannot turn the steering do give a good solid base to the running gear. The wheels also being just plastic work well and have very good detail as well as a tyre manufacturer name on the sides. Progress so far..
