I (still) work in a company that produces packets of pre-cut and mixed vegetables that you buy in the supermarkets, and in wintertime much of the salad varieties come from Spain and Italy, and yes, sometimes there are scorpions, crickets and spiders the size of your hand in there...

Well at least when they play there.... but yes in Southern parts of Spain and Portugal there are some small ones, harmless for the most part. A few years ago I found a very big spider inside my car while I was driving, crawling on my side window... I almost had an accident. A fried that was in the car with me was telling me to keep my cool and try to stop the car in the middle of the road.
It was damn scary.

Spiders don`t bother me tooooo much dependant on size of course , my good lady is terrified of them.........once when i was working nights she had to get her dad round coz one was on the stairs and she couldn`t go to bed .......god help me if i grab one and drop it!!!  |
