What condition is the engine Boots? Mine needed a rebore and half the primary chaincase studs were stripped. They had been stuck in with Araldite😡. Helicoils fixed that. Once into the engine all seemed ok.

Oooh ya snuck in under my radar there Bill The engine looks pretty good from what i can see, i`m hoping to upsize the cylinder and piston (if i can afford it) anyway but everything is free.........until i get a bit further in i can`t say at this stage, i`m sorta concentrating on the cosmetic work at the mo. Once i get the head off i`ll be able to have a better idea.........one of the casing studs was bodged up and i`ve had to re-tap with a larger thread and stud and make the side casing hole slightly bigger, the old gasket was fun to remove as well!!, i`m gonna have to replace the kick start shaft as the spline is well chewed up...........i`ll also replace the kick start piston, springs and shims while i`m at it...........then i`ll have to put my big boy pants on and do the clutch corks/steels etc plus a quick look at the gears.

Ok fellas.............been doing a little bit more as the wallet allows.. Have now fitted the sprayed and fitted the rear mudguard and also a rear chrome rack, the wiring has been temporarily run along the frame and a new brake pedal swithc fitted (not visible in the pics), the stand was taken off and re-fitted as i wasn`t entirely happy with it and some gentle persuasion was required..........i do have the new rear light and casing but this will be sent away for colour when i have a few more bits to go with it (no point in just sending that on it`s own). Also i have fitted the bearing races in the front fork frame tube but again these arn`t visible in the pics apart from the chrome ring on the lower part of the fork tube.........I do have the new rubbers/bolts etc for the toolbox but i`ve got to prime and spray that yet before i can fit it. Doesn`t seem a lot but it`s a few small steps out of the way.
I`m now back on hold for a mo until i get the bill for the car repair

Yeah it was in the house but the frame got broke so i repaired it and hung it in the garage.............got another Vespa pic in my study but got no-where to hang it unfortunately...........no wall space!, don`t wanna put it in the garage coz it`s to good so at the mo it resides on the floor until i can find a suitable home for it
