I believe ya Did do a little bit this evening but nothing worth writing home about just small stuff.........loosened the engine and shock mounts and front wheel........after soaking each evening in good `ol WD40 everything so far is come undone quite easily, some small stuff will need drilling out or grinding off, headlight will need completely replacing as will the rear light lens and inner shroud but that`s no biggie

Thanks Jeff and Ian However..........wasn`t expecting to be back at square one
Turns out that when i register her as a vintage/classic there is a 1 in 20 chance DVLA could ask to see the scooter and if it`s in bits they won`t issue me a number plate............so i`ve had to put everything back on!!!!!, i`ve only temporarily connected some of the parts but as long as everything is in situ it should be ok...........fingers crossed
The good thing is it only took me about an hour or so to put back and Monday i can send off all the paperwork to DVLA, hopefully they won`t bother with a visit but if they do at least i`ve covered my ar$e.

Cross the 'T's" and dot the "I's" Bud. Even just pulling it apart, cleaning everything and putting it back together, it looks 10 times better.

When I restored my imported Triumph Bonneville back in 1993 I had to take it to the vehicle taxation office in Newcastle on the back of a pickup and a woman came into the car park with a hardhat on to check the frame number and then asked me if I would like a registration number that would fit neatly onto a square aluminium black and white rear number plate. I picked ACU 191L which fitted just right.😁

What a cool project Boots !!! Looks great, so you remove rust inside the garage and add rust at the bench... sounds fun
