Here's Meng's first product of the Warship Builder series plastic models. It can be built in full version or as a waterline model. Three different aircraft types come with it (6 planes in total). Quick and fun, and ready to be painted.

Hello guys, I'm glad to be back after a long time of no modeling activity. I've decided to get on with the USS Lexington toon. I first sprayed on multiple greys and I worked from dark to light. The brightest greys were airbrushed on from above to give this toonie more body. The stickery yellow lines from the kit were used as masks after adding yellow on deck. Once the dark greys were added the kit stickers were removed. I think this looks better than thick stickers. The lifeboats were done white with a dark shadow under them. Of course I managed to break the fragile cross shaped pole so that means extra work but I'm used to this kind of mess I make. The planes were already given a grey belly and blue was then sprayed on from above with a bit of masking of the fuselages. The chimney will be given a tadd of mat black and the ship will look better with a red accent. I have a lot more to do tomorrow.  Laters ! |
