Hi folks I have decided to get an oldie but goldie going . Here's the Tamiya Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf. L from 1995, this is a darned good version of a Wehrmacht backbone vehicle. I shall build it more or less from the box, only with the addition of a metal barrel here and there and some stowage, and possibly some magic tracks if I can find them . Here's the first hours work for yaz . More soon chaps

Good choice, Paul. That is a very nice kit, indeed. I will stay tuned for more of your model mastery.
Best wishes,
Ian

Ian, many thanks indeed sir . But I reckon there are bigger and better masters here than I . Take yourself for one . Pete, cheers ole chap . The Panzer III and it's variants (StuGIII) have always been top of list . Vlad, thank you kindly also mucker . And don't worry this will come to an abrupt stop on Wednesday, I have a party planned in Rhodes from Thursday for a week . Here's a tough decision for me to make , Tamiya kit part or Schattons just slightly more detailed hull MG . Off for a pint to think about it .

Decision made I also didn't have the fancy Tamiya PE set for the air intakes, so I used some eduard mesh and white strip instead Things seem to flow smoooover with a pint

The barrel you chose is slightly better than the original. I think you did a good choice! Nice start and nice solution to the grills!

Boots, cheers indeed my friend . And your're right it didn't many beers to decide . Marco, glad you agree fella, the detail is a tad better . Cheers too mucker . Here's todays bitz for yaz . I opened up the turret lifting hooks first. Then I had another pint to help decide on the main gun . Then I put most of the turret together More as and when chapsies

Pete the RB barrel is straight drop in, if you can cut straight . The pint helped with that and the hooks too

Steve, I didn't realize you was that young . Nice of you to join in fella . Marco, yep more metal for yaz , not sure if that will be all though . Boots, I have yet to drink a beer that doesn't know what its doing . Cheers fella . Todays doings for you are some more hull bitz, next (in about a week) will be some weldings and then on to primer. I have chosen not to add the tools and few other bits yet because I want to try a paint method I discovered a few moons ago. This will remain a secret until its time , but it does have something to do with ....... (shut up you fool or you'll give the game away ) . Oh yes, I found the Magic Tracks too, two sets one with hollow guide horns one without . As always ACACW, see you soon chaps
