Tim nice of you join in fella . I have checked the height and it appears to be correct, it measures up with the AFV Club Cent turret, it must be a bloody optical illusion. Even the hull measures up with the Dragon Conqueror. Could it be the colour of the plastic creating the illusion?

Tim that could be it fella. Whatever, I am going to stick with the Tamiya turret. This is the only MkIII turret on the market at the moment. Apart from AAs version, for which you need the AFV Club turret to complete it. Back soon with more fiddlings

Okay then, I started by adding primer to the lower hull today , it's best done now as it will be a real PITA to get at later. It was then that I noticed something with the rear hull plate , I put it on upside-down . So after quite few colourful choice words I removed the bugger and replaced it the right way up. I am glad I used Tamiya Limonene Cement for this, the join isn't as solid as what it would have been with Revell Contacta Profi. I also stripped off the solid engine deck handles and made 14 new ones from brass rod . I have also started adding some the larger parts of the upper hull, and I found some fitting resin fire extinguishers on my pin board . More soon dudes

It would be nice for once in a while, just to open a kit and have nothing to do except glue it together and paint it .

I did have a little chuckle with the rear hull plate as I'm pretty sure we've all done something similar.

Jase I bet it ain't the last time I do something like that either . Todays doings are connected to the turret . It's glued together and the large attachment holes that Tamiya kindly provide have been filled . Next will be to tidy it up and get some Mr Surfacer on there to help matters along .

Shaping up nicely, Paul! What caliber gun did this carry? Did it just keep the Centurion 20 pdr.?

Ian

Cheers Ian . To answer your question, yes. These carried the QF 20pdr and a Besa coax, nothing elaborate .

Cheers Boots . Not much done today as I'm back at work . Anyway I got the hulls joined up, added some small bits like the exhausts and handles for the fuel filler caps. Also my pin board has payed dividends again , I found a lovely Besa MG barrel which fits the bill perfickly . I also sorted the turret the out some more, unfortunately the Mr.Surfacer hasn't quite set yet. Which means I cant sand the bugger flush until maybe tomorrow. More tomorrow chaps when I knock off for the weekend
