Thanks, Joe!I have a small update on the Buffalo. I got everything sanded down, got her primed and started on the camo. Unlike the RAF Buffalos, the color call-outs for the Dutch ones are much clearer reference-wise and she will be painted in Olive Drab, Dark Green (FS34092 --like Euro I Dk. Green) with silver undersides. Apparently, these Buffalos faded heavily during the Java campaign so I started off with Mission Models Olive Drab but this will be lightened substantially with a post-shading application tinted with yellow. I did find a divot I missed in the wing root so I just have to sand that out and repaint that. Onwards and upwards--er, something.

I jumped back on the Dutch Buffalo project and got the plane masked off with some Scotch 3M 2090 tape. I then applied the second camo color and I used FS34092 Green out of the Vallejo USAAC paint set. References indicated this was probably the best shade of green to use for the Dutch birds. The planes evidently faded badly during the Java campaign (the ones that lasted long enough, that is ) so I applied post-shading using the same green shade lightened with some Vallejo Iraqi Sand. The tape was removed and the top camo is complete. Regards, Ian
