Thanks chaps, today I've added some rubbish in the form of torn up cigarette papers soaked in white glue to the base for general paper and bags then painted them. Next I added the sand pigment I used on the truck to the base to tie everything together. Finally all the bottles, cans and other bits have been fixed in place and then dusted with pigments. I also made a few surprises and added to the base, can you spot the dog turds!! I've got a couple more things to go onto the base and something else for the truck bed as well. With the truck in situ I've been mucking around with the placement of the figure and think him standing at the rear balances out the scene well.

Thank you kindly gents, today I've put the finishing touches to the base and painted up some of those new red zebra coffee cups. It took me all of ten seconds to do but they look flipping brilliant.

With them added to the base I fixed the model, figure and other bits in place and finished it off. I'm really pleased with the final result and really enjoyed the whole project. I seem to be getting a taste for these desolate and middle eastern themed dios! More pictures in the GB gallery & my gallery.
