Thanks for the comments gents, and sorry the interior colour is "bloody awful" Mr B but what can one do? As the title says, small progress. All of the interior is currenty dry fitted bar the rear seats , which are now fixed to the padded bits.
I have decided, rightly or wrongly, to go with silver as the main interior colour and will only do the NBC unit and distribution pipes as white.
All comments etc welcome and more tomorrow. Tim

Silver is to my knowledge correct, well at least back in 1985 anyway . That was an aweful paint too, the crap used to rub off onto anything that touched it . She is looking rather grand now though Tim

Well nice to know my colour choices are approved, and thanks for the comments in general. Starting to fix the interior in place now. The main bulkhead is still dry fit only at present. Did some work around the drivers position and applied a dilute black wash to the silver areas to pop the detail a bit, think it has worked. More soon. Tim

There's a simple reason for it Marco, when in war and the crew takes a hit, the blood doesn't show red . That way the next crew that takes over the vehicle, won't be so demoralized at the blackish stains, that is if the vehicle is still operational. All Brit vehicles were painted silver on the inside, be it an armoured car, armoured personnel carrier or main battle tank.

Not much to report today, started work on some of the interior details and knocked up the NBC unit and that was about all. Lack of progress was down to clearing out some cupboards and draws and a general sling session, in order to create space, and compile a list of stalled and unstarted projects. It's amazing how much C*** you accumulate over the years and hold on to just in case..... not after today. Some went back forty plus years More soon. Tim
