Good evening, After the Mosquito I had a rummage around and decided to dig this out. Pretty sure it has been languishing for close to 2 years in the cupboard. Mainly because I fecked it up when I first started it. Had to cut the swing arms off because I had it set wrong and would have looked like it had the whole world on its shoulders. Despite cutting four of them off, I think I got away lightly, and at least the wheels will hide most of it and it sits much better, rather than on the bump stops. Due to the current crisis I will be taking 2 weeks leave from the 6th April, so this will help to fill some of the time. More soon. Tim

Nice one Tim.......i`m in Have ya still got enough wine to see ya thru Currently in negotiations on the wine front..... 12 bottles lasted 14 days so either a smaller glass (no chance) or double order. Then there are the beer negotiations. My place will end up like a pub with no customers, well apart from me that is. Better than a pub with no beer though!

Having corrected the suspension got on and completed the other side. I know, same as the otherside but done anyway. Next moved on to the tracks and, following the destructions and using the jig came up with a small problem. Seem to need another link! Instructions call for one, I seem to need 2. Next pic shows one completed side This is the other side Fortunately, the angle shows the gap in relation to the other side and clearly the gap is 2 links ( all be it very tight) so for those that have built it, a question. Is it 2, and Takom got it wrong, or is it me?
Otherwise things seem to be progressing nicely and it certainly fills in the time. Tim

I have followed instructions to the letter in the past and suffered a few disasters along the way.
In this case I thought an extra link was required, but just needed a little guidance. As for the jig, yes it works well.

Phew Tim, for a moment I thought you’d had a disaster on the wine and beer negotiations.

Tim, I've done two takom kits, both had issues with number of links per side.

Thanks for the input, Track issues are now resolved. Moving on to the interior and starting at the drivers seat. I have read that this is all rather well engineered and so trying to build in small units to bring together at the end. This is where I am at present, nearly all dry fitted and in the planning stage for painting. Really enjoying this, but need to plan on how to show the insides as much as possible, otherwise no point in doing the interior. Should be interesting and more soon. Tim

The big circular rear hatch and rear door opened. Will you use the roof basket?
