Evening chaps After a series of disasters I thought I should run for safe ground and what could be safer than a classic kit from Tamiya? So grabbed a kit that’s been in my stash for over 15 years and broke out the glue and.... it FITS TOGETHER! I enjoyed it so much I hit EBay and bought some bling an an RB main gun barrel ..but forgot the MG..doh! Anyway, here she is a few hours in This is a closeup of the stick on Zim, I’ve had that a few years and feared the adhesive might have gone funny but no, it works perfectly. I dunno what happened to the colour in the pic though? It is the same tank Maybe wheels tomorrow

Very nice, you just can't beat a tamiya kit to help boost the old mojo!

Was it easy to cut out the zimmerit? It’s not pre-cut but a nice sharp blade around the edges makes easy work of it. I figured that as Zim was applied by hand I could fix any errors with filler or make it look like damage. The only issue is the fact that its clear so you can’t see the gaps or edges very well. A coat of grey primer will show anything I need to look at I’m sure .

The Tamiya zimm. stickers are a bit of a pain to cut out but the set I used on Elephant which pretty easy to apply. I’d use it again if if wasn’t for the fact that German WWII armour isn’t my thing.

Nice choice for getting the mojo back. You just know with a Tamiya kit you won't have any fit issues along the way.

Great to have you along fellas Caught another hour or so at the bench this week. Bought some Tamiya AM grills so dropped them on. Along with a few more details. Used Paul’s tip of spraying the inners of the plastic grills black first and also painted the back of the tank to see what the Zim looks like under paint, looks good to me More when I can
